How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
The Halisi Trolley empowers underrepresented groups, particularly women and youth by providing them with sustainable economic opportunities and promoting clean energy access. 1.Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: The Halisi Trolley is designed specifically to support women in street food vending, a sector where they are often underrepresented. By offering an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional charcoal-fueled carts, we enable women vendors to operate more efficiently and safely, reducing health risks associated with smoke exposure. This empowerment allows women to increase their income and gain financial independence. 2.Engaging Youth: Zuhura Solutions actively involves youth in the production and operation of the Halisi Trolley. By providing training and employment opportunities in manufacturing, sales, and maintenance, we equip young people with valuable skills and foster their involvement in the clean energy sector. This not only supports their career development but also encourages them to become advocates for sustainable practices in their communities. 3. Inclusive Representation: At Zuhura Solutions, we prioritize diversity and inclusion in our team. We actively recruit women and youth, ensuring their voices and perspectives are integrated into decision-making processes. This representation enhances our understanding of the unique challenges faced by these groups, allowing us to tailor our solutions effectively.
