BIO PLANET TMC Ltd is rooted in Indigenous and climate-vulnerable farming communities in Benin, where land degradation and extreme heat disproportionately affect women and smallholder farmers. Our project empowers these groups by transforming biodegradable waste into certified pest-control organic fertilizer while delivering climate and regenerative agriculture education that strengthens local adaptive capacity.

Over 3,700 smallholder farmers, primarily women and Indigenous producers, have received access to affordable inputs and practical climate training. By reducing dependence on imported chemical fertilizers and improving soil health, we increase productivity, income stability, and long-term resilience. Cleaner environmental conditions also benefit over 500,000 rural residents.

Women and youth are not only beneficiaries but active participants in our value chain. They are engaged in waste collection, composting operations, distribution networks, and farmer leadership groups. Within our organization, leadership includes professionals from agricultural science, biotechnology, and environmental management, with a strong commitment to inclusive hiring and decision-making.

By centering those most affected by climate change in both implementation and leadership, our project strengthens representation in climate action and builds locally driven solutions grounded in lived experience and cultural context.
