How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
D-Olivette empowers underrepresented groups by placing clean energy, income opportunities, and skills development directly into their hands. Our focus is on rural women, youth, and marginalized farmers, who traditionally bear the brunt of energy poverty and environmental degradation. By deploying Bio-360™ powered biodigesters, women save hours previously spent collecting firewood, reducing health risks from indoor smoke, while gaining access to income through biogas and green hydrogen use and bio-fertilizer production. Youth and local technicians receive training in AI-enabled technology, maintenance, and monitoring, building marketable skills in the green economy. Within D-Olivette, these groups are fully represented in leadership and operations. Women hold key roles in finance, operations, and marketing, while youth drive technology innovation and community engagement. Our outreach programs prioritize equitable access, ensuring that all community members can participate in, benefit from, and contribute to the clean energy transition. By integrating social inclusion with climate action, D-Olivette demonstrates that empowering marginalized communities is not separate from climate solutions—it amplifies impact, strengthens resilience, and ensures sustainability. Our model creates a virtuous cycle: as underrepresented groups gain skills, income, and energy access, they become active agents in reducing emissions and driving local climate resilience.
