How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
NBIOINDONESIA was founded with a mission to empower underrepresented groups—especially women, youth, and climate-vulnerable communities—through regenerative agriculture and circular innovation. Our team is led by a woman founder and CEO, and we prioritize inclusive hiring, training, and leadership development across all operational levels. We actively engage youth under 30 through hands-on internships, digital outreach, and educational programs that blend climate science with entrepreneurship. Our pilot sites and outreach programs are located in peri-urban and rural areas, where access to climate solutions and green jobs is limited. By turning overlooked waste into high-value products, we create new income streams and skill-building opportunities for communities often excluded from the formal economy. Our nano-biochar systems are designed to be modular and replicable, enabling local ownership and adaptation. We also provide bilingual resources and digital tools to ensure accessibility across diverse linguistic and educational backgrounds. Representation is not just a metric—it’s embedded in our operational design, storytelling, and benefit-sharing models. We believe climate leadership must reflect the communities most affected, and we are committed to building a movement that is inclusive, practical, and rooted in lived experience.
