Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

WYN‑BG was founded to place women and youth at the center of climate solutions in Ghana’s cashew and beekeeping value chains. These groups are often excluded from decision‑making and lack access to resources, yet they are disproportionately affected by climate change and economic vulnerability. Our project directly empowers them by providing training, equipment, and leadership opportunities to transform cashew fruit waste into sustainable products such as pig feed and vinegar.

By turning waste into value, women and youth gain new income streams, build entrepreneurial skills, and strengthen their role as climate leaders. We also prioritize climate‑vulnerable rural communities, ensuring they benefit from reduced waste, improved food security, and resilience against environmental shocks.

Representation is embedded in our organizational structure: women and youth hold leadership positions within WYN‑BG, guiding strategy and implementation. Their voices shape our programs, ensuring inclusivity and relevance.

In this way, WYN‑BG not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also redefines who leads in the climate movement—empowering underrepresented groups to drive systemic change and positioning them as champions of circular agribusiness and climate resilience.
