Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

EcoCare’s project is designed to empower underrepresented groups by embedding inclusivity into every stage of planning and implementation. Community consultations are conducted with men, women, and youth to ensure diverse voices shape priorities and decision making. This participatory approach builds trust, strengthens local ownership, and ensures that solutions reflect the needs of all community members, especially those most vulnerable to climate impacts.
A central focus is on women’s empowerment. We provide specific capacity building programs for women, including leadership training and technical instruction to prepare them as operators of the commissioned solar PV and battery systems. By equipping women with technical skills, we challenge traditional gender roles, create pathways to employment, and ensure that women are represented in the governance and operation of energy infrastructure.
Youth engagement is equally prioritized through training in digital monitoring tools and environmental stewardship, fostering the next generation of climate leaders. Within our organization, women and youth are represented in both leadership and technical roles, reinforcing our commitment to equity.
By combining inclusive consultations, targeted training, and representation in operations, EcoCare ensures that underrepresented groups are not only beneficiaries but active drivers of climate resilience and sustainable energy transformation.
