Year Project Originated:
Project Summary / Description:
Upscaling organic waste into biogas, bio fertilizer and bio pesticide. Building an Anaerobic/Biogas Digestion Plant that is capable of digesting up to 3300 KG of Organic Waste daily, generate up to 355.5 cubic metre of Biogas daily and produce up to 10,000 Liters of Biogas Digestate - Bio Fertilizer and Bio Pesticide daily: Avoiding approximately 1700 Tons of CO2e annually.
How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Emfraz's executive team, excluding the sole founder, is all Women. Emfraz plans on hiring at least 50% women and will help educate and empower rural communities on sustainable practices and hire local young and older talent wherever Emfraz operates.
Mission Statement:
Decrease GHG emissions by revolutionizing Organic Waste Treatment: Upcycling organic waste into sustainable and renewable energy and agriculture inputs: Biogas, Bio Fertilizer, and Bio Pesticide, utilizing a highly scalable and portable Anaerobic/Biogas Digester made out of fiberglass material.
