How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Empowerment and Representation The Paper Charcoal project directly addresses this imbalance by placing women at the center of the climate solution: Economic Empowerment: The core of the project involves transforming women into entrepreneurs. By training and equipping them to produce and sell the paper charcoal, the project generates stable income, alleviating poverty and moving them toward economic independence. This elevates their status and influence within their households and communities. Climate Leadership: By making women the producers and distributors of the clean-burning fuel, they become the primary agents of climate mitigation at the household level. They lead the shift away from polluting traditional fuels, giving them a tangible, marketable role in the local climate movement. 🏢 Organizational Representation The success and mission of your organization are intrinsically linked to this group. Given that the project's output and operational model rely on empowering these women, it is crucial that they are highly represented across the project's structure, particularly in production, training, and community mobilization roles.
