CarbonFora is designed to democratize climate action by ensuring that groups traditionally excluded from environmental decision-making can actively participate, benefit, and lead. In Pakistan, youth, women, and underserved low-income communities are the least represented in climate dialogues despite being the most exposed to climate vulnerability. CarbonFora places these groups at the center of our model.

Our initial deployment focuses on youth and students, enabling them to translate everyday sustainable actions into measurable climate impact. By giving young people a direct, verifiable pathway to contribute to emissions reduction, we empower a demographic that often feels powerless in the climate crisis.

We also work closely with women’s universities, community groups, and early-stage women leaders, ensuring women are not merely users but shapers of the platform’s growth. As the project expands, women will anchor our community verification network, creating local opportunities for leadership, engagement, and paid roles in climate monitoring.

CarbonFora further engages low-income and underserved neighborhoods, where climate awareness is often low and access to climate-finance mechanisms is nonexistent. Our model ensures these communities become visible contributors in climate datasets and eventually beneficiaries through climate-credit redistribution.

Our team itself includes women and young leaders, ensuring representation is embedded internally, not only externally.
