Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Vangreen is a women led, youth inclusive social enterprise operating in climate vulnerable rural and peri-urban regions. Women, youth, and low-income communities are central to our model.
We source agricultural residues from smallholder farmers, many of them women creating new income streams. We also recruit and train women and youth as sales agents and micro-entrepreneurs, enabling them to earn income through briquette distribution while building business skills.
Within our organization, women hold key leadership positions, including CEO, Operations, and Finance, and we are working toward a target of 50% women and youth across all roles.
Our customers are also underserved communities that often lack access to clean, affordable cooking fuels. By reducing fuel costs, cutting smoke exposure, and improving livelihoods, we directly improve well being among groups traditionally marginalized from climate solutions.
