The Carbon Storage Pilot Project aims to demonstrate Quebec’s potential for engineered carbon storage by developing injection and monitoring wells near Becancour. Our Carbon Storage Pilot Project is designed to create inclusive opportunities in Quebec’s emerging low-emissions energy sector. We prioritize engagement with climate-vulnerable communities near the Becancour site, ensuring transparent communication and participation in decision-making processes. By fostering local partnerships, we aim to provide training and employment in technical roles such as monitoring, engineering, and environmental stewardship—fields where women, youth, and Indigenous communities have historically been underrepresented.
