Ecorich Solutions Limited places inclusion at the center of its climate solution by actively engaging women, youth, and climate-vulnerable communities in the circular economy value chain. The project works with over 400 women waste collectors, many from informal settlements, who earn income through organized organic waste collection and supply to the Wastebot system. This creates dignified green jobs while integrating marginalized workers into formal climate solutions.
We have distributed our organic fertilizer to 7,500 smallholder farmers, 56% of whom are women, benefit from affordable organic fertilizer, helping them restore soil health, increase yields, and reduce dependence on costly chemical inputs. Ecorich also works with 350 youth as community champions and field coordinators, providing training in waste management, regenerative agriculture, and climate action.
Within the organization itself, inclusion is reflected in leadership and staffing,  6 of the 8 core team members are women, including the Founder and CEO, Joyce Rugano. Women also lead key functions such as finance, operations, marketing, and community engagement.
By combining climate innovation with inclusive employment, Ecorich ensures that those most affected by environmental and economic challenges are not only beneficiaries but active participants and leaders in climate action, strengthening both community resilience and long-term climate impact.
