Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our company was founded by an immigrant, and we have first-hand knowledge of the important contribution that minority groups have on our society. We welcome all individuals (regardless of their gender, color, religion, or origin) who are passionate about solving climate problems and are excited to apply their knowledge and skillset to advance Polyose Bio’s sustainability goals. We are a merit-based company and will attract and retain our workforce solely based on their contributions toward company growth. Training a generation of young scientists and engineers is also a key element of our contribution to society. As such, we will hire inters and Co-op students to join our R&D, engineering, and business development teams to learn how to apply science and technology to solve a global climate problem and build a successful startup company. Our project will also empower rural communities by providing them with a new opportunity to generate revenue from their organic waste (e.g. animal and agricultural waste) by partnering with us to perform insect farming in their communities. In our business model, we plan to build a network of insect farming facilities that process organic waste locally and then send dried insect materials to our centralized biorefineries.

Mission Statement:
We envision ourselves to be a key player in the organic waste management industry. We also expect our process to become the gold-standard for sustainable chemical biomanufacturing, and see a future where most biomanufacturing processes have switched to our insect-based fermentation and no longer use refined sugars as raw materials.
