Project Summary / Description:

The Project will establish West Africa’s largest private wildlife reserve, focusing on the protection of native species including the "Big Five" (elephants, leopards, lions, rhinoceros, and buffalo) which are under severe threat in the region. Our initiative aims to:  
Safeguard and restore wildlife populations in Senegal.
Create a research and conservation hub to support future reintroductions across West Africa.
Sequester up to 8.4 million tons of CO₂ - generating high-integrity carbon removals backed by the ICVCM. 
Support local communities utilising revenue generated through carbon credits and ecotourism with 100% of the net carbon revenue recycled back into local communities and the local environment.  
Create West Africa's largest private wildlife reserve. Significant tourism and hospitality investment opportunity with at least 70,000 visitors expected annually. 
Full feasibility study completed and pilot project ongoing.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

The project is explicitly designed to deliver equitable socio-economic benefits: revenue-sharing from carbon and later tourism, borehole water infrastructure, jobs and training for rangers/guides, scholarships and research grants. Inclusion is operationalized via FPIC, community committees, gender-sensitive hiring targets, youth training and preferential procurement from local suppliers. The ESIA will identify vulnerable households and ensure livelihood restoration; governance arrangements will provide for fair decision-making and transparent distribution of benefits. Activities funded by PPI (FPIC, protection, pilot demonstrations and monitoring) will prioritize community leadership and respect customary practices. The project monitors distributional outcomes to ensure that women, youth and minority groups receive equitable access to jobs, training and revenue streams.
