How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
SiembraCo primarily empowers smallholder farmers in rural and climate-vulnerable communities, many of whom are underrepresented in the climate movement despite being disproportionately affected by climate change. By providing access to artificial intelligence–driven agronomic assistance, satellite-based monitoring, and direct market access, the project enables farmers to adopt climate-smart practices that reduce emissions while improving income stability and resilience. Women farmers are a key focus of SiembraCo’s inclusion strategy. The company actively promotes the participation of women in its farmer network and within its internal team, where women hold leadership and decision-making roles across operations, sustainability, and commercial functions. This representation ensures that solutions are designed with gender equity in mind and are accessible to women producers. SiembraCo also engages rural youth by introducing digital tools and data-driven agriculture, helping position farming as a viable and future-oriented livelihood. Within the organization, diverse perspectives from rural and underrepresented backgrounds inform product design, outreach, and farmer engagement strategies, ensuring that climate solutions are inclusive, practical, and scalable.
