Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
CLIC RECYCLE empowers underrepresented groups by integrating local, small-scale actors — particularly hairdressers and micro-business owners — into the climate solution value chain. Hairdressers, who are often small entrepreneurs and predominantly women-led businesses, become active contributors to climate mitigation by participating in waste collection networks and generating income from responsible waste management. The project also engages waste workers, local service providers, and community organizations, creating accessible green job opportunities and new skills in circular economy practices. Through partnerships with social impact organizations, CLIC RECYCLE supports workforce inclusion and employment opportunities for vulnerable and underrepresented groups. The company is women-led, strengthening gender representation in climate innovation, circular economy entrepreneurship, and environmental leadership. Beyond employment, the solution provides climate-vulnerable communities with affordable, nature-based solutions that improve water efficiency in agriculture, reduce pollution exposure, and enhance environmental resilience. By working closely with municipalities and local stakeholders, communities are not only beneficiaries but active participants in climate action. Through this decentralized and inclusive model, CLIC RECYCLE democratizes access to climate solutions, enabling small businesses, local workers, and underrepresented groups to directly contribute to methane reduction and environmental protection.
