H2BREAD empowers climate-vulnerable urban communities and micro-entrepreneurs by democratizing access to green technology for small businesses traditionally excluded from the energy transition due to high costs. We protect neighborhood bakeries, which are fundamental to Peru’s social fabric, from energy poverty caused by volatile fossil fuel prices. By providing an 80% reduction in local pollutants (PM2.5 and CO), we directly improve the respiratory health of workers in dense urban zones.
Within our organization, we champion female leadership and specialized youth. Our COO and Co-Founder, Medali Pacheco, leads operations and food safety, ensuring our technology meets rigorous industry standards. Our team also includes youth professionals in engineering and marketing, such as CFO Angel Pineda  who bridges the gap between traditional industry and modern sustainability. Furthermore, our growth model projects the creation of over 500 green jobs by 2030, specifically training local technicians in hydrogen safety and IoT systems, providing a pathway for upskilling underrepresented labor forces in the Global South.
