Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project directly empowers climate‑vulnerable groups—women, youth, and smallholder farmers—who are often underrepresented in climate solutions. In rural Uganda, women and youth carry the burden of dung collection and waste management without recognition or income. By centralizing waste processing and introducing zero‑grazing units, we reduce this labor while creating new income streams. Women gain time for education and enterprise, while youth are engaged in logistics, fertilizer distribution, and digital monitoring, building skills for future employment.

Farmers are not passive beneficiaries but equity participants. Through repayable zero‑grazing units, they become co‑owners of the system, ensuring long‑term adoption and financial inclusion. Within our organization, leadership reflects this commitment: our team works closely with local farmers, prioritizing women and youth in pilot trials, feedback loops, and governance structures.

By combining technical innovation with social equity, our hub‑and‑spoke model demonstrates that underrepresented groups can lead climate action and benefit directly from climate finance.
