Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

This model is built around women led savings groups who are often excluded from energy and climate infrastructure. Women control most post harvest handling yet lack access to storage and power. We embed cold room power hubs within savings groups women gain ownership control and income from shared climate assets. Priority access rules favor women traders and processors who face the highest losses.
Solafam is a women led company and women lead deployment training and operations. Youth from local communities are trained as technicians creating green jobs without migration. Governance of each hub is managed by elected group committees ensuring inclusive decision making. By turning savings groups into climate infrastructure owners the project shifts underrepresented communities from climate victims to climate solution leaders.
