ERTH empowers underrepresented groups by meeting people where they are and turning climate action into a source of opportunity rather than a burden. Many of ERTH’s collectors and community partners come from groups often left out of the climate movement, including women, youth, and lower-income urban communities. Through initiatives such as community mini-hubs and partnerships with women-led platforms, ERTH enables women to earn income, build micro-businesses, and take leadership roles in environmental action without needing technical backgrounds or large capital.
Youth are actively engaged through campus programs, volunteering, and paid collection work, allowing them to participate in climate solutions in a practical, hands-on way. ERTH’s services are designed to be accessible, mobile-first, flexible, and reward-based, so climate-vulnerable communities can participate without financial or logistical barriers. Internally, ERTH reflects these values through a diverse team structure, inclusive hiring, and a strong presence of women in leadership and operations roles. ERTH ensures that climate action creates dignity, income, and representation for those who are most affected by environmental challenges through embedding equity into how recycling works on the ground.
