Project Summary / Description:

Hetawa Vision is a registered Kenyan agribusiness (BN-L5CYDKE7, certified June 20, 2021) founded by Henry Muliro Wabule, operating from Chwele, Sibanga Kaplamai Road, Trans-Nzoia West District, Cherangany (P.O. Box 714, 30200 - Kitale). The GreenFeeds initiative transforms crop residues into affordable animal feed and organic manure via circular processing, reducing burning emissions, enhancing soil carbon sinks, and empowering farmers through hire-purchase models for climate resilience.

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project actively empowers youth, women, and climate-vulnerable smallholder farmers, who are often underrepresented in climate action. We provide training in sustainable agriculture, crop residue management, and value-added feed production, equipping these groups with knowledge, skills, and leadership opportunities. Women are engaged in composting and feed production, creating income-generating opportunities and promoting economic independence, while youth participate in monitoring, outreach, and innovation, building capacity as future climate leaders.

These groups are well-represented within our organization. Women hold leadership roles in operations and community engagement, and youth contribute to project design, implementation, and impact tracking. Their involvement ensures decision-making reflects the perspectives and needs of those most affected by climate change.

By combining inclusive governance with targeted capacity-building, our project fosters meaningful participation of underrepresented groups, strengthens local leadership, and enhances community resilience. Through practical engagement, equitable representation, and skill development, the project ensures climate solutions are accessible, inclusive, and led by those historically marginalized, while delivering measurable GHG reductions and promoting ecosystem restoration.
