This project is rooted in Nala, a climate-vulnerable rural community with a diverse population that includes indigenous groups, caste-marginalized families, migrant households, and economically underprivileged communities. These groups are often underrepresented in formal climate decision-making and have limited access to resources, green spaces, and mental health support.

The project intentionally centers children, youth, and young women as leaders rather than passive beneficiaries. Young women from marginalized and indigenous backgrounds serve as facilitators, community mobilizers, and decision-makers, ensuring that local knowledge and lived experience shape project design and implementation. Safe spaces are created to enable participation from those who face social, gender, or caste-based exclusion.
