Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

The project is founded and led by a woman of color, first-gen immigrant who was the first in her family to go to college. Additionally, we prioritize inclusion in leadership, research, and strategy positions. Our work centers communities disproportionately affected by plastic pollution and climate change, including Caribbean and coastal regions. Through education, partnerships, and hiring practices, we aim to expand access to climate innovation for underrepresented groups while building pathways into green jobs and materials science.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and plastic pollution by replacing fossil-fuel–based plastics with regenerative, biodegradable biomaterials that safely return to the Earth. By targeting high-impact consumer industries, we aim to eliminate persistent plastic waste, prevent microplastic pollution, and accelerate a just transition away from extractive material systems.
