Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project is designed to empower climate-vulnerable and underrepresented groups by placing them at the center of clean energy and waste-to-value solutions. We work primarily in low-income rural and peri-urban communities that are disproportionately affected by climate change, energy poverty, and environmental degradation.

Women are key beneficiaries and participants, as they are most impacted by indoor air pollution and the burden of fuel collection. The project reduces this burden through clean biogas for cooking and actively involves women in user committees, training, and income-generating activities linked to organic fertilizer use and sales.

Youth are engaged through skills development, technical training in biogas installation and maintenance, and leadership roles in community operations. Local community members are represented in project governance and day-to-day management, ensuring ownership and accountability. By combining access, skills, and leadership opportunities, the project enables underrepresented groups to become active agents in climate solutions rather than passive beneficiaries.
