How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
GG AND PREVIEW WEB COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY actively empowers underrepresented groups, including youth, women, and climate-vulnerable communities in Adamawa State, Nigeria. Our ICT training programs specifically target unemployed graduates and less-privileged youth, equipping them with digital skills that increase employability and entrepreneurial opportunities. By providing access to renewable energy solutions, we also help communities that are disproportionately affected by energy poverty and climate vulnerability to adopt clean, sustainable energy, reducing their reliance on fossil fuels. Women are intentionally included in our training programs and leadership initiatives, ensuring gender representation in technology and renewable energy sectors, which are traditionally male-dominated. Youth engagement is central to our mission, as we train and mentor young people to implement climate-smart technologies in their communities. Within our organization, key leadership roles are held by women, including our Financial Manager (Fauziya Alhassan) and Program Coordinator (Lucy Emmanuel), demonstrating internal representation and decision-making inclusion. Our staff team includes diverse members with experience in technology, project management, and community development, reflecting the communities we serve. Through targeted programs, inclusive hiring, and community engagement, our project ensures that underrepresented groups actively participate in climate solutions, benefiting from economic opportunities, skill development, and access to sustainable technologies.
