How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Agrisustainify is designed around the leadership and lived experience of groups that are historically underrepresented in the climate movement particularly smallholder farmers, women, youth, and climate-vulnerable rural communities in Liberia. At the community level, we intentionally prioritize women and youth as farmer champions, peer educators, and data collectors. These roles elevate individuals who are often excluded from formal extension systems, enabling them to influence climate decision-making within their households, cooperatives, and local leadership structures. Women farmers are supported to lead post-harvest management and storage initiatives, while youth play key roles in data collection, digital engagement, and climate education—bridging traditional knowledge with new tools. Our approach empowers communities not as beneficiaries, but as **co-creators of climate solutions**. Farmers help generate, interpret, and act on climate and soil data, ensuring solutions align with cultural norms, land-use traditions, and economic realities. Within Agrisustainify’s organization, leadership and field teams are predominantly **local Liberians**, including young professionals and community leaders with firsthand experience of climate vulnerability. Decision-making is decentralized, with continuous feedback loops from farmers shaping program design and scale. By embedding climate action within trusted social systems, Agrisustainify ensures underrepresented voices are not only included—but central to delivering durable climate impact.
