How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Mirriah directly empowers underrepresented groups including rural women, smallholder farmers, and youth from climate vulnerable communities. We design solutions for those excluded from mainstream climate and energy access programs. Our training programs prioritize young women as solar technicians, building local leadership and economic opportunity. Within our team, over half of our field staff and technicians are women. Our co founder is a lifelong smallholder farmer, ensuring community perspective guides decision making. We recruit locally, valuing practical experience and dedication over formal education. This inclusive representation ensures our work remains rooted in the realities of those we serve, transforming beneficiaries into leaders of their own climate resilient future.

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to empower smallholder farmers, women, and youth in climate-vulnerable regions by replacing fossil-fuel irrigation with affordable solar technology. Through our inclusive Pay-As-You-Grow business model and hands-on training programs, we turn energy poverty into climate resilience, create green jobs, and foster leadership.
