How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Esse Mobility actively empowers underrepresented groups like women and physically challenged persons by creating inclusive economic opportunities and increasing climate resilience in vulnerable West African communities. We prioritize hiring women and youth—who face disproportionate mobility and employment barriers—as drivers, technicians, and managers. Over 60% of our operational staff are women, and 85% of roles are filled locally. Our solar-electric vehicles provide affordable, safe transport—especially critical for women—reducing exposure to pollution and expanding access to education and economic hubs. By training and employing local talent in green tech, we ensure that climate solutions are community-led and culturally resonant, bridging gaps in both representation and climate vulnerability.
