How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our work is rooted in communities that are often left out of the climate conversation, particularly smallholder farmers in arid and semi-arid areas who are already dealing with the day-to-day impacts of climate change. Many of the farmers we serve are women and young people who depend on agriculture for their livelihoods but have limited access to capital, reliable water, or clean energy. We design our solutions with these realities in mind. Flexible payment options such as pay-as-you-go and lease-to-own make it possible for women and youth to access irrigation systems without the burden of high upfront costs. Training and ongoing support are built into every installation, helping farmers build confidence and use the technology effectively. Our mobile platform is intentionally simple, allowing farmers to manage their systems without needing advanced technical skills. Representation also matters within our own team. Women play key leadership roles in finance, marketing, and community engagement, while young professionals lead field operations and technical support. Because many of our staff come from the same communities we serve, decisions are informed by real experiences, ensuring our work remains inclusive, practical, and responsive to those most affected by climate change.
