How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Pachai Thulir 2.0 centers on Malayali tribal youth—a community at the absolute frontline of climate change in India’s Eastern Ghats. We empower them by shifting their status from "at-risk" victims to Climate Data Analysts. Empowerment of Underrepresented Groups: • Youth Leadership: Students are not just learners; they are Grid Operators. They manage the "Battery Library" cloud-ledgers and the "Hydro-Smart" IoT sensors, building high-value technical skills usually inaccessible to rural tribal youth. • Gender-Inclusive Forestry: By deploying Solar Thermal Systems, we specifically alleviate the labor burden on women and girls, who traditionally spend 15–20 hours weekly gathering firewood. This time-poverty reduction enables their participation in the Oral-Digital Bridge content creation. • Linguistic Inclusion: The use of the local dialect for all digital interfaces ensures that non-literate tribal elders—often the keepers of traditional ecological knowledge—are included in modern climate adaptation decisions.
