Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Tomatiq is a small startup, but inclusion is core to how we operate. We involve local voices in every deployment and design services around real community needs. Small towns without public transport are often excluded from climate planning and forced into car dependency—especially seniors, young people, low-income families, and non-drivers. Tomatiq provides a practical alternative by delivering reliable, affordable local transport where none existed, enabling access to work, education, healthcare, and social life. This social impact was internationally recognised when Tomatiq was selected in 2021 as a finalist for SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) in a UN competition. In Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, we worked with the local Seniors Organization to adapt the app and ran in-person training. In Qormi, we partner with NGOs and signed a cooperation agreement with the 1st Scouts Group Qormi, engaging 150 young people as early users and community ambassadors.
