How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
ALAMI empowers rural communities and young people. The project is led by the younger generation (founder <30 years old), giving young people a central role in climate decision-making. At the implementation level, the target is rural communities (small farmers in Boyolali village) who have been less involved in clean technology solutions. In addition, women get significant benefits: with biogas, they do not have to collect firewood, reduce domestic workload and exposure to kitchen fumes. Although the founder is male, ALAMI recruits female extension workers for household education, so that women also become agents of change. Thus, the project supports gender equality (simplifying women's workload) and social inclusion, while encouraging young people to be actively involved in climate action.
