Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

RUN empowers underrepresented groups by creating inclusive economic opportunities within Africa’s last-mile logistics ecosystem, a sector that traditionally excludes women, youth, and marginalized communities. Our rider network prioritizes youth employment, providing flexible income opportunities, skills development, and access to digital tools that improve long-term employability. We actively lower barriers to entry by offering onboarding, training, and structured earning pathways.

Women are increasingly represented across operations, leadership, and corporate functions, including decision-making roles. RUN also engages riders and partners from climate-vulnerable and underserved urban and peri-urban communities, where unreliable infrastructure and limited formal employment options persist. By improving delivery reliability for small and medium-sized businesses in these areas, we indirectly strengthen local livelihoods and economic resilience.

Within the organization, diversity is reflected in leadership and team composition, with women and young professionals represented across operations, product, finance, and people functions. This inclusive approach ensures that climate solutions are built and scaled by those most affected by both economic exclusion and climate impacts.
