HimGra empowers climate-vulnerable Himalayan communities by integrating rural women-led SHGs into its core cultivation and biomass supply system, creating resilient livelihoods aligned with low-input, rainfed production. These communities face disproportionate exposure to climate volatility, migration pressure, and income insecurity; HimGra provides stable income diversification and skills development anchored in regenerative land use. Youth engagement is enabled through design competitions, material innovation programs, and early-career pathways into sustainable textiles. Inclusion is institutionalized through Dev UK Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of DESCATUK, which manages cultivation pilots, community governance, transparent fund flow, and independent impact validation. Representation is embedded operationally, with field execution led by community-facing leadership and local teams, supported by advisors in rural development and impact finance. This structure ensures that underrepresented groups are not passive beneficiaries but active participants in building and governing a scalable climate solution.
