Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

We intentionally designed to create climate solutions that also expand opportunity for underrepresented groups. Angirus employs people from marginalized and rural communities who are often excluded from formal, safe employment in the construction and waste sectors. Many of our team members come from climate-vulnerable regions where pollution, waste dumping, and informal labor directly affect health and livelihoods.

Women are a growing part of our workforce. Currently, women represent approximately 10-15% of our team, and this number is intentionally expected to increase to 30-40% as we introduce automation and reduce physically intensive tasks traditionally associated with brick manufacturing. By replacing hazardous kiln-based labor with clean, mechanized production, we create safer and more accessible roles for women in manufacturing and operations.

All team members at Angirus are people of color, and over 90% of our workforce is youth between the ages of 22 and 30, reflecting our commitment to building climate leadership among young professionals. These groups are not only beneficiaries but active contributors—shaping product design, operations, and scale. By embedding inclusive employment into a climate mitigation project, we are ensuring that decarbonizing the built environment also delivers social equity and long-term community resilience.

My mission is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the built environment by eliminating brick kiln emissions through scalable, circular building materials that permanently lock non-recyclable waste into long-life infrastructure.
