Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
GreenBox™️ actively empowers underrepresented groups, particularly women, youth, and rural smallholder farmers communities disproportionately affected by climate change and post-harvest losses. Women, who play a central role in food production and market activities in the Congo Basin, are prioritized in training, leadership opportunities, and access to GreenBox™️ cold storage hubs. By providing them with affordable, decentralized storage solutions and market information, we increase their agency, income stability, decision-making power within agricultural value chains. Youth are engaged as both beneficiaries and implementers, participating in hub operations, data collection, and logistics management, which builds technical skills, entrepreneurship capacity, and climate leadership. Rural communities benefit directly from our hubs, which reduce post-harvest losses, stabilize local food supply create jobs in operations, maintenance, and distribution. Within the organization, leadership roles are intentionally inclusive: women hold key management positions, youth are represented in operational teams, and community members are involved in co-designing solutions. GreenBox™️ ensures these groups are not only recipients but active participants in climate action, governance, and decision-making, aligning our impact model with principles of equity, inclusion, and locally led climate resilience. This approach strengthens representation in the climate movement, creates pathways for marginalized groups to influence solutions, and fosters sustainable, community-driven impact.
