Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Targeted inclusion. We prioritize women, youth, and climate‑vulnerable households in outreach, training, and nursery support so those most excluded from climate finance gain early access to benefits and income streams.
Representation in staffing and governance. We hire local extension agents and nursery managers from the communities we serve, with deliberate recruitment of women and young people, and include community representatives (women and youth) on our advisory group to shape program design and M&V priorities.
Economic empowerment. Activities create short‑term income (seedling sales, nursery wages, paid participation in pilots) and longer‑term livelihood gains (fodder availability, reduced labor from burning), with flexible payment terms and small stipends to lower participation barriers for vulnerable households.
Capacity building and leadership. Training emphasizes leadership, technical skills, and data collection roles for underrepresented groups so they can become trainers, M&V enumerators, and local entrepreneurs.
Safeguards and accountability. We use gender‑sensitive facilitation, schedule meetings to accommodate caregivers, track participation by group, and adapt interventions based on community feedback to ensure benefits are equitable and durable.
