Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

4MyCiTy is built within and led by the communities most impacted by climate and economic inequities. Our work directly empowers underserved, low-income, and historically underrepresented populations—many of whom are people of color and youth—by transforming them from recipients of services into active participants in climate solutions.

Through our 4MyCiTyU! workforce development program, we provide paid training, certifications, and hands-on experience in sustainability, logistics, and composting operations, creating pathways into green careers. Participants gain both income and skills while contributing directly to methane reduction and environmental impact.

Our programs are designed to be barrier-free and accessible, ensuring broad participation regardless of background. The majority of our staff, volunteers, and program participants come from the same communities we serve, bringing lived experience into leadership, operations, and decision-making.

By integrating economic opportunity, digital access, and environmental action, 4MyCiTy ensures that those most affected by climate challenges are not only included but are leading the transition to a more sustainable and equitable future.
