We will answer this question with honesty rather than optics. Fermeta's two founders are white European males, one French and one German, and we are fully aware that this is not a picture of diversity in the conventional sense.
What we can speak to genuinely is the culture we are intentionally building around that reality. English is our company language from day one, not because it is convenient but because we are tackling a global problem and believe that global perspectives belong in every decision we make. Between us, we have previously built a company that reached 80 employees representing 32 nationalities, and replicating that kind of international fabric at Fermeta is a founding ambition, not an afterthought.
On gender, we are committed to equal treatment and equal opportunity as a structural principle rather than a policy document. As the team grows, so does our ability to act on that commitment in hiring, compensation and leadership.
We are founders in our late twenties to mid-thirties, which puts us closer in age to the generation that will live longest with the consequences of the climate decisions being made today. That proximity shapes the urgency with which we approach the work.
