WISE Nepal works primarily with smallholder farmers, women farmers, and rural agricultural communities that are highly vulnerable to climate change and economic challenges. Women play a major role in agriculture in Nepal but often have limited access to training, resources, and decision-making opportunities. WISE Nepal provides training, education, and sustainable fertilizer programs that empower women farmers with knowledge about soil health, nutrient management, and climate-smart agriculture. The project also creates opportunities for women to participate in biofertilizer production, farmer training programs, and community leadership roles. In addition, the project supports rural farming communities that are vulnerable to soil degradation, rising fertilizer costs, and climate change impacts. By improving soil health, increasing crop productivity, and reducing input costs, the project improves livelihoods and resilience for underrepresented rural communities while reducing methane emissions.
